The Leslieville Farmer’s Market

Open every Sunday from May 22nd to October 30th, The Leslieville Farmer’s Market has delectable treats ranging from fresh fruit and veggies, meat and fish, and baked goods and prepared foods. Leslie Street Spit Trail

Looking for a wilderness adventure without ever leaving Toronto’s east end? The Leslie Street Spit Trail, also known as Tommy Thompson Park, is a diverse wilderness retreat in an urban setting. Built by lake filling and originally meant to be a breakwater for Toronto’s harbour expansion, the plan was abandoned and when shipping in the Great Lakes declined. The spit hosts a vast amount of wildlife including plants, butterflies, reptiles and mammals. For this reason, dogs are strictly prohibited and it is recommended that you stay on the 23.2 kilometers of trails. Guided walks are also available. Visit for more information.

Sounds of Leslieville & Riverside

Music is in the air! Presented by Beaches International Jazz Festival, Sounds of Leslieville & Riverside takes place from July 8-10th at Jimmie Simpson Park. Take a stroll down Queen Street East and enjoy the sweet jazz notes on a balmy summer’s eve. This event is free for the whole family.

Leslieville Tree Festival

Explore the green vendors and exhibitor displays, local food and ceremonial tree planting. Hosted by LEAF, learn about the protection and enhancement of the urban forest.
