Many people want their flat to be spic and span without the use of harsh chemicals. Clean your flat naturally using ingredients you can actually pronounce! The greatest thing about all of these natural ways to clean, is you will probably have most of the ingredients already laying around. Natural cleaning solutions don’t have to break the bank. From white vinegar to baking soda, none of these home cleaning essentials are costly. Here are three ways to clean your flat naturally:
All Natural Glass Cleaner
Say goodbye to that electric blue window cleaner! Mix equal parts white vinegar and good old fashioned tap water in a spray bottle and you’re good to go. This recipe doesn’t include alcohol so you’ll notice that it may take longer for you to wipe away the cleaning solution. Try using old newspapers instead of paper towel and you’ll be on your way to streak free windows and mirrors in no time.
Clean Stainless Steel Appliances
Most new flats or condos offer stylish stainless steel appliances. You may find that stainless steel lends itself quite well to sticky fingerprints and can lose it’s fresh looking sheen. Our recommendation is to first put undiluted vinegar in a spray bottle. Spritz your appliances with the vinegar and wipe down thoroughly using a soft microfiber cloth. The vinegar will cut through any fingerprints or grime. To get that new appliance glow, use mineral oil or olive oil to buff your stainless steel appliance. Watch any remaining spots disappear!
Non-Toxic Bathroom Cleaner
Bathroom cleaners can often be the most harsh and the most toxic. Here’s a great recipe that works well on any surface! Cut through tough, calcified shower grime with a few simple ingredients and a little elbow grease. Mix 1 ⅔ cup of baking soda with ½ cup of your choice of liquid soap. Dilute using a fork to mix with ½ cup of water and 2 tablespoons of white vinegar. Apply to any surface that needs to be cleaned using a sponge and wash away with water. You’ll be surprised how good this non-toxic bathroom cleaner works!
